Turn off the printer. Unplug it for 30 seconds. Restart your computer and router (if you print over Wi-Fi). This clears stuck states and reconnects devices cleanly.
( 2 Identify ) Check printer status & lights
Look for blinking lights, warning icons, or messages on the printer screen. Note any error code — it helps identify the exact fix faster.
( 3 Connection ) Verify connection (USB / Wi-Fi)
USB: plug directly into the computer (avoid hubs). Wi-Fi: confirm printer is on the same network as your computer and not connected to a guest network.
( 4 Queue ) Clear the print queue
Cancel stuck jobs from your computer’s printer queue. Then restart the Print Spooler (Windows) or reset the print system (macOS) if jobs keep hanging.
( 5 Test ) Clear the print queue
Select the correct printer as default and print a test page. If test page works, your app/document settings are likely the issue.
( 6 Driver ) Clear the print queue
Download the correct driver for your exact model and OS version. If problems continue, remove the printer and add it again after installing the driver.
( 7 Hardware ) Clear the print queue
Confirm cartridges are seated properly, paper tray is aligned, and no jam is present. Run a nozzle check / head cleaning if print quality is poor.
